Andrey Morozov, a pro-Kremlin Russian military blogger, was found dead a few days after disclosing that Russia had sustained massive casualties during its attack on Avdiivka. It is reported that he died by suicide.

Morozov, who fought alongside Russian forces from 2014, was a strong supporter of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Known as "Murz" on Telegram, he was an ultra-nationalist pundit who frequently traveled to the front lines with Russian forces and was said to have strong connections to some of the military commanders.

In a series of posts published on Wednesday morning, Morozov revealed his apparent plan to end his life, urged his followers not to grieve, and requested that his remains be interred in the so-called Luhansk People's Republic (LPR).

He said that he had to remove a post from his Telegram channel on Tuesday, although he did not say who made him do so; said post were criticized by several important Russian propagandists.
