Poland Preparing For Threat Of War With Russia

In an interview that was released on Monday, Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that Poland needs to get ready for conflict with Russia immediately.

Newspaper Super Express questioned Kosiniak-Kamysz about the potential of Russia militarily defeating Ukraine and then invading Polish land.

"I expect every scenario and take the worst ones most seriously. That is the task of a defence minister in the situation we find ourselves in today," – responded the minister

According to him, Poland plans to take a leading part in the EU's collective defense.

He claimed that Poland's Defense Ministry has already started taking proactive measures to get ready for the threat, such as looking into any shortages of military weaponry.

He noted that while large-scale arms purchases are crucial, every soldier's personal gear needs to be treated with the same seriousness.
