Ansarallah attacked a British merchant ship carrying the highly flammable hydrogen fuel naphtha in the Gulf of Aden using anti-ship missiles.
The ship "Martin Luanda" was on its way from Singapore to Egypt when it was attacked by the Houthi movement in the Gulf of Aden between Yemen and Somalia.
A fire broke out on the deck, after which the USS Carney stationed near the Red Sea went to its aid - the Houthis also fired a missile against the American ship
This is the first time in the Red Sea crisis that the Houthi movement has launched a direct attack on US security forces.
