Hezbollah announced on Monday that it has attacked an Israeli military post close to the northern Israeli town of Metula using a drone, resulting in multiple casualties.
Information about potential casualties in the incident is not immediately released by the IDF.
The military further claims that it recently attacked a site in al-Lwaiza, south Lebanon, that housed approximately fifteen structures used by Hezbollah's elite Radwan unit.
Over the past six months, Israel's campaign in Gaza has been accompanied by regular cross-border strikes by Hezbollah, an organization that has accumulated a sizable arsenal since 2006.
To now, Hezbollah's attacks have only targeted a portion of northern Israel in an effort to divert Israeli forces from Gaza.
